World-renowned EDM artist James Hype is set to headline the stage at this year’s FrostFest, hosted by the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance on Feb. 5. Hype is known for his
newest remix, “Ferrari” and other songs like “Disconnected,” featuring Tita Lau, and his follow-up, “Good Luck” featuring Pia Mia.

Local talent from Windsor-Essex have joined the lineup to open this year’s FrostFest concert. University of Windsor alumni DJ Josh Karmin and DJ Kirzy are set to take the stage before James Hype for an electrifying performance.

The FrostFest concert – held annually to kick off the winter semester – has attracted thousands of attendees from WindsorEssex and beyond. FrostFest is continuing that success with the goal of uniting the local community and its youth, along with highlighting that there is no better entertainment than in Windsor.

“Frost Fest is the UWSA’s annual winter concert to celebrate our UWindsor community as we bring students back to campus and introduce new students to campus. I can’t imagine a better way to kick off the Winter semester on a positive note,” says Alanna Olteanu, President of the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance. “In the past, we have been able to bring a variety of artists such as Rich the Kid, Avicii, Fetty Wap, and Candian duo Loud Luxury to the UWindsor stage. This year we are excited to announce that internationally recognized EDM artist James Hype will be headlining our concert.”

FrostFest is an exciting way to celebrate our UWindsor community and bring the local community together, with Olteanu adding “we are proud to showcase our talented UWindsor alumni through the
opening acts.”

Hype is one of the UK’s top artists, with his singles regularly clocking tens of millions of streams, being accredited sales awards in the UK, and across Europe approaching half a billion cumulative streams
worldwide. He was recognized as the #1 artist while holding the #1 song on BeatPort for 2022.

Hype will be performing at FrostFest on Sunday, Feb. 5th, at the Toldo Lancer Centre Fieldhouse. The show is for ages 16 and up, and doors open at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online at UWSA.ca/FrostFest/ for $35.
