Winning On and Off the Field: Lancers Honor 182 Academic All-Canadians

It’s second most Academic All-Canadians in Lancer history, and they were feted at breakfast on November 24. The Academic All-Canadian designation, bestowed on 182 Lancer student-athletes last month, is awarded by U Sports for those who maintain a minimum grade average of 80 percent while competing in varsity sports. This year’s recipients came from a variety of athletic programs, including basketball, soccer, track and field and cross country, football, golf, baseball, softball, curling, and hockey. Resilience in the Return: How Lancer Athletes are Preparing to Restart the Competition Season

Student-athletes can resume training. As of January 31, the province started to lift the lockdown restrictions; including the reopening of gyms. For over a month, both Lancer athletes, as well as athletes across the OUA, had to put a pause on their respective seasons as a consequence of the shutdown in late December. UWindsor Athletics Take Aim at Breast Cancer with the Shoot for the Cure Initiative

by: Justin Peters Shoot for the Cure is a favourite cause of the University of Windsor’s varsity teams and their efforts have banked $1,000 already with hopes of a substantial donation for 2021.
