The University of Windsor is reminding students that ‘strict compliance to mask policy is required.’ In an email recently sent out to the UWindsor community, the university is encouraging mask wearing indoors, even if proper physical distancing is being maintained. The Womxn’s Centre is a University of Windsor Student Alliance (UWSA) service, providing a safe space and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds and expressions. It has many resources for various programs and centers around Windsor that focus specifically on gender-based issues and support for women at all stages of life. Plan of Action: Dealing with the safety concerns on campus
The University of Windsor witnessed several safety concerns on campus after two students were reportedly followed to their cars late at night in October. It happened on consecutive days, late at night. According to the official report released by the UWSA on Tuesday, 4th October, the first incident happened on Monday, around 11 pm, after which it was reported to the campus police. Windsor Symphony Orchestra hosts World Premier

The concert is titled ‘World connections through Music’ and features the work of two noted performers. The first is the work by Iranian-British composer Farhad Poupel, titled ‘The Legend of Bijan and Manijeh’, drawn from a 10th century Persian epic poem titled Shahnameh. This weekend’s performance is its world premier. According to the WSO website, Farhad Poupel describes the structure as ‘the battle between dark and light’’

The University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law will be hosting a conference with the Canadian Red Cross titled: War in Cities: An International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Perspective. The conference will focus on Urban Warfare. It is a free, public conference held at Canterbury College. It features experts and academics to teach about the pressing issues surrounding International Humanitarian Law. Urban warfare has been a common feature of many conflicts since the second world war.
